Personalising:

  • Two tone seat centre panels
  • Contrast piping
  • Contrast topstitching
  • Embroidery

Two tone seat centre panels.

Colours, materials and perforation can be used in combination to create a personalised look for any interior. A popular choice for example, black leather out side sections with a contrast colour, say grey, red or blue in the centre of the seat. Another option is to have the centre panels perforated leather.

Contrasting materials also work very well with alcantara being very popular due to its high quality feel and finish.

Contrast piping.

Piping or contrast piping is one of the finishes available around the outer edges of the seats and on some seats around the centre panels. Classic Car Services can manufacture piping in any colour of leather, alcantara, cloth or vinyl in our range.  Any colour of bodywork can also be matched in leather with our custom dying system.

Contrast topstitching.

Topstitching is an alternative finish to piping around the outer edges of the seats. This allows the seams to sit flat on outer bolsters. This is used a lot on performance and sports seats with high side bolsters as piping wears badly if rubbed against when getting in and out of the vehicle. It is sometimes said to be a more modern finish than piping due to this very reason.

Topstitching can either be a single or double row of stitching in a matching or contrast colour to the material it is being used on.

Embroidery.

Used by some of the main car manufacturers like Alfa Romeo and Mitsubishi, embroidery is a high quality and cost effective way of adding the finishing touch to a personalised interior.

The embroidery is usually placed in the front seat backs but can be machined into the rear seats and/or the head rests as well.

Whether it is the manufacturers logo or your own design all that is required is a photo or a brochure with the artwork on so it can be scanned.

alcantara.

Used as a high quality alternative material to leather or in combination with leather. Alcantara is a man made, synthetic suede material, which has been manufactured to be washable and hard wearing unlike natural suede. It is used throughout the automotive, boat and airline industry.
Alcantara has a non-slip character, which makes it very popular in sports and performance cars. It can also feel warmer to the touch than leather, a criticism often levelled at leather.

perforated leather.

Perforated Leather is another finish that is available.
