Classic Car Services offers a full range of expertise to refinish a vehicles interior to concours standard. Hoods, head linings, tonneau covers, carpet sets, seats and side panels are all hand crafted to original patterns.
All work is completed under the guidance of customers wishes, who are kept fully informed and consulted throughout the process. Any extra work found to be required is discussed with the customer before any further work is carried out.
Classic Car Services use many original techniques and materials that were used to make the interior first time round. Materials such as such horse hair and cotton wadding, as well as traditional fixings such as tacks and hidem banding create and authentic look and feel to an interior.
Wilton carpet edge bound with leather, tailor made to fit the cars interior is a speciality. Before the carpet set is fitted, new underlay is fitted to reproduce the feel of luxury the interior once enjoyed.
Hoods, tonneau covers and hoods can all be made with the original as a pattern or from photos if the original hasn’t survived the test of time. Double duck, Mohair and Everflex are all still available and used to their best effect.
Classic Car Services understand that a cars character is the most important part of a restoration. Our team of craftsman take pride in returning an interior to its former glory whilst retaining as much of the originality as possible.
Over the last 25 years our craftsmen have built a vast knowledge of many vehicles and the techniques used to build them, having worked on vehicles such as Rolls Royce, Jenson, Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Morgan, Riley, Morris, Austin, Porsche, Mercedes and Triumphs to mention a few. |
